Seamless Integration¶
No changes are required to your mobile application or website. No third-party SDK’s, wrappers or re-deployments are required. The Obsidian™ dashboard enables quick configuration.
Simplified Workflows¶
Obsidian™ provides full control over your daily and monthly service limit values to manage data volumes for your service. Control of actions applied when limits are reached to manage consumer experience.
Reverse Billed Data¶
Deliver websites and apps to customers and improve the customer experience at no mobile data cost to them, even without an airtime or data balance.
Data Analytics at your Fingertips¶
Collect metrics, traces, and logs for every service in Obsidian™ without any code changes in your applications.
Integrated Security & Performance¶
Obsidian™ includes deeply integrated security services to defend against DDoS attacks, service hijacking and spoofing, and abusive bots while focusing on performance and real-time processing.
Client-Driven Feature Augmentation¶
Augment applications or innovate new solutions without configuring or maintaining infrastructure. Enable authentication, rate-limiting, and enterprise workflow integrations.
Take back control of your campaign spending!¶
Obsidian™ enables you to set billing limits so that you never spend more than you budget for. You can now also set custom alerts that will keep you informed of usage at thresholds that you can set easily. Moreover, you can also get a near real-time view of spend, and run reports for a more detailed breakdown.
SaaS & On-Premises¶
Obsidian™ is available as a full SaaS offering or customers can install the PMT™ Gateway internally if they want full control over the platform.
Depending on whether you run Obsidian™ as a service, also known as a shared instance, or have it deployed in-house, you will either have a read-only view or a full configuration view of the services you are running.
Traffic Control¶
Traffic control is managed by setting limits, either on service level or global entity level and then receiving notifications by configuring thresholds against these set limits.
In terms of limits, tracking of usage values is near real-time and applies per byte of data consumed by customers and processed by the PMT™ Gateway. Daily and monthly limits are defined and tracked and reset on the same interval, meaning if a daily limit is reached but there is still remaining usage in the month, the limit will be applied and reset on the next day, which will then start the day counter at 0 but continue to count towards the monthly usage.

Analytics and Reporting¶
Key to the product is capturing of information for all processed requests, which includes request and response information like the URL consumed, the client IP address, HTTP response codes from the Service or API and the combined size of request/response flow, which is crucial for the tracking of usage and associated billing of the consumed data.
It is important to note that no transmitted data interrogation is done by the PMT™ Gateway during the processing of received traffic, service configuration matching or capturing of analytical information for reporting and billing purposes.
Security¶
Security at Pattern Matched Technologies™ is extremely important to us. You trust Obsidian™ every day to keep your system and client information secure, and responsible custodianship of your data is one of our core values.
Pattern Matched Technologies™ takes the greatest of care to verify and validate that the PMT™ Gateway implements the stringiest of security measures to protect not only the end-to-end solution and customer services enabled through the Gateway, but also to protect any personal information captured or configured and processed by the Gateway for these services.
Compliance¶
By utilising AWS, Obsidian™ inherits all the compliance and security controls implemented by AWS and would match the same as any customer who is already running in AWS for their Service or API enabled through the Gateway.
